420chan
From Chan Top List, the imageboard wiki.
420chan was an English-language imageboard founded on April 20, 2005 by Aubrey Cottle (online alias 'Kirtaner'). Its boards focused on cannabis, psychedelics, and harm-reduction discussion, alongside general off-topic boards. For nearly two decades it served as a meeting place for drug-policy advocates, counterculture artists, and a long-running community of regulars.
Harm reduction focus
Unlike most imageboards of its era, 420chan placed strong emphasis on harm reduction. Its drug-discussion boards were moderated to remove encouragement of dangerous combinations and to surface practical safety information.
Decline and shutdown
After repeated denial-of-service attacks during the early 2020s the site went down for extended periods and Cottle stepped back from operations. Although various attempts have been made to restore service, the site has not resumed continuous operation.
