About this wiki
Chan Top List is an open, informational wiki devoted to the history and culture of imageboards. Articles are written in a neutral, encyclopedic tone and cover individual boards (active, defunct, and historical), memes that originated on or were popularized by imageboards, posting conventions, software, and notable people.
Editorial approach
We aim to describe imageboard culture as cultural history. Articles on controversial boards or movements are written factually, without endorsement, and focus on documented events, software, and lasting influence. We do not reproduce shock content, and we do not link to live boards from article bodies.
